Film Review: The Beauty’s Evil Rose (1992) – CAT III

TheBeautysEvilRoses-1992-1

The police, helmed by Inspector Cheng (Alex Fong) come into contact with the … Continue reading

The-Beasts-Shan-Kou-1980-movie-4

REVIEW:

While The Beasts (Shan Kou) has been marketed as a Hong Kong version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) and/or The Hills Have Eyes (1977) it is in fact much closer in feel and structure to the rape-revenge film – most notably I Spit On Your Grave, although it bears similarities with Ingmar Bergman’s The … Continue reading

Tracking this movie down has been somewhat of a challenge. Though in that same statement, it is probably for the better as far as most are concerned. Sex-Hell-1975-Movie-1

SYNOPSIS:

It’s new arrivals day as the latest batch of hardboiled jailbait are incarcerated in the toughest juvenile detention center that never existed.

With a title as blunt and intriguing as “Sex Hell“, one might either assume a Hell-centered genre movie or a film about rape and trafficking. Typical for these older films, the original title was actually released as “Jitsuroku onna kanbetsusho: sei-jigoku” which has been renamed a few times over the … Continue reading

A group of bad guys kill a bunch of innocent people, and rape and kill a woman in front of her husband. The bad guys are from Hong Kong, their victims Vietnamese.
