Although not by definition a horror film, SILENT CRY has all the ingredients to satisfy genre fans with the director citing Alfred Hitchcock and Dario Argento as key influences on his approach. “Its designed to lull its audience into a false sense of security before making them jump out of their seat or turn their faces in horror” said Richards. “I ramped up the suspense and tension throughout whilst delivering a surprise ending which has reduced some viewers to tears“.
