The first film up for review this week is a found footage horror film called The Bay, directed by Barry Levinson, the director of films such as Diner, Good Morning Vietnam and Rain Man). The film is about a small coastal town that encounters an ecological nightmare when flesh eating icopods invade the water supply. The horrific events are cobbled together in a documentary.
Next up is a preview of the trailer for Don Coscarelli’s next opus, John Dies at the End. The film is a trippy chronicle of a fair of friends who share the drug known as Soy Sauce. Hallucinogenic creatures abound including a meat monster, flying black pill bugs and slimy slugs with gnarly teeth. Paul Giamatti, Clancy Brown, Angus Scrimm, Chase Williamson and Rob Mayes star.
Last up is the review for the VOD film, The Tall Man starring Jessica Biel, Jodelle Ferland, Stephen McHattie, William B. Davis and Samantha Ferris. The film is written and directed by the man behind Martyrs, Pascal Laugier.
