J-LO Takes A Dark Turn In THE BOY NEXT DOOR

Been a day for odd casting announcements and this one is even stranger than the first. VARIETY is reporting that Jennifer Lopez has signed onboard the new Jason Blum project titled THE BOY NEXT DOOR.

They also report that in the film Lopez will star as a newly separated mother who begins an affair with a new teenage neighbor who befriends her son. Trouble ensues, however, when she tries to abruptly end the relationship.

Rob Cohen will direct and production will amp up this fall so that filming can be wrapped before J-lo returns to TV early next year on American Idol.

Blum’s next project, INSIDIOUS CHAPTER TWO opens next weekend.
