September 13 during TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) With domestic and international representation by ITN Distribution Inc., the co-production efforts of Hourglass Pictures and Entangled Entertainment will release the film on major streaming platforms and other digital venues in November, and on Blu-ray and DVD in December. Toronto, ON – September 10, 2019: After securing worldwide rights back in July, ITN Distribution will introduce “A Psycho’s Path” to global film buyers at TIFF, one of the world’s most predominant entertainment events. The 2:27- minute trailer shares a look into how sleepy small-town naivety is shaken by gory, unthinkable and seemingly random acts of terror.
Written and Directed by Rocky Costanzo, the retro-horror film brings back the classic slasher formula of decades past, presented in stylish film-noir that uses chiaroscuro lighting, simplified cinematography and practical makeup effects. The film was shot at various nostalgic cinematic locations such as the Four Acres Movie Ranch in California’s Antelope Valley and the historic Clark County Museum in Henderson, Nevada.
“The producers and I are excited to reveal a preview of the feature through this trailer and happy to have ITN Distribution as our partner to help audiences worldwide discover it.” says Costanzo.
Set in a small desert town during the 1960s, a deranged John Doe escapes local police and stark institutional confines launching a fast-paced manhunt on a suspenseful trail of horror.
American Mixed Martial Artist and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, stars as the menacing John Doe, alongside stalwart Hollywood veteran actor and A Psycho’s Path producer, Noel G. (The Fast & The Furious Franchise, The Mule, Training Day, Bruce Almighty). The film also re-introduces Todd Bridges. Matthew King-Ringo and David Ramak round out the Producer team.
For the film’s release, the allied filmmakers from Hourglass Pictures and Entangled Entertainment are tapping the expertise and market connections of ITN Distribution Inc. to see its independent film reach global audiences on TV, VOD, DVD, Pay-Per-View and theatrical markets.
