SHORT-FILM---Do-Not-Disturb-(2015).mp4.0004

SYNOPSIS:

Two detectives, a husband and wife, a hooker, and a kidnapping are thrown into this LA crime blender. This modern Hitchcockian thriller with Fincher tones, is a tale of lies and confusion.

REVIEW:

Some more short films for you guys! Today we have DO NOT DISTURB, an interesting adventure from writer/director Jon James Smith

Our story opens on a business man (Ron McMahon) who is apparently in a bit of trouble. There appears to be a kidnapper in the back of his car, forcing the man to call his wife (Kathryn Quirk) and play a little game.

Oh, but wait. It is a game. or is it? And if it is, who are the players, and who is running the show?

SHORT-FILM---Do-Not-Disturb-(2015).mp4.0001

This was a fun short. Reminded me of the awesome crime dramas of the 80s – Miami Vice, etc – but paired down into a nice bite size package. It twists and turns like a field mouse, and maybe you’ll see it coming and maybe you won’t. But it’s a fun ride. Pay close attention, or you’ll miss the next surprise.

Using my special short scale of one to five, five being awesome, I’m giving this film 4 razor blades.
