Visionary Artist H.R. Giger Passes

To say that H.R. Giger was influential in the horror arena is like saying the sun is influential in the heating of the earth. Quite simply horror as we know it today would not exist if not for the amazing talent and vision of H.R. Giger. As a young and interested horror fan in the 70’s his surreal and oddly sexual artwork literally drew me in and then when those drawings came to life in ALIEN well…mind blown.

The sad news came today that Mr. Giger passed away. He was 74 and we join the rest of our horror family as well as his family and friends in mourning his passing. His legacy will live on well past all of us.
