Steampunk Convention Chugging into Boonton, NJ

The art of steampunk culture, celebrated in films like Brazil (1985), The City of Lost Children (1995) and The Golden Compass (2007), as well as on Canadian rock band Rush’s 2012 outing Clockwork Angels,  will be the subject of an upcoming outdoor gathering of fans in Boonton, NJ on April 29 through May 1, 2016.  From the press release:

Boonton, New Jersey welcomes visitors for a weekend of entertainment, shopping, dining and art on April 29th, 30th and May 1st for “Steampunk Boonton”.  See creative works of art embracing the Neo-Victorian Age influenced by technology and industrial machinery, powered by fantasy and science fiction.

The annual art event encompasses all things #Steampunk, including an Art Exhibit, Steampunk Portrait Studio, Art Classes, Scavenger Hunt, Fashion Exhibition and Live Steampunk Music.  Shop and dine along Main Street to further enjoy the weekend in Boonton, celebrating the art of Steampunk culture!
