Seeing how I loved the look of issues #1 and #2 I can’t see why this collected versions would anything less than great. And I was right. Brown really has a great style that I just love to see page after page. I like the loose inking feeling that this book has too. It’s almost like the pencil work is still there, adding depth to each panel. Good consistent character work on every page just sums up that – as a whole – this is a great looking collection. Plus the final page and the preview at the end makes me excited to think about what will be coming next!

Story: 3.5 out of 5
Reading these first 3 issues all together was a real treat. I got to relive the action from issues 1 and 2 and then see what was new in the third. As a set they all flow together nicely. The story is high on intense action and drama that will keep your eyes glued to the page from start to finish. So what’s with the lower score on this one? I don’t know how well I buy the protagonist just accepting help from one of the bad guys. It’s not that I can’t see it happening, it’s more that I don’t necessarily think it would.

Dying Breath: 4.0 out of 5
From issues 1 to 3, and I recommend buying issue #3 for some artwork from yours truly, this has been a great action packed series. To have them all collected into a trade that is available for a great price makes it even better. The artwork is on point and the story will have you wanting more and more. This is well worth checking out because Zimmerman and Brown are killing it page after page.
