13 Gore-geous stories of vampires, werewolves, zombies and sex! LOL! I love seeing these Italian stories in this anthology, only because they are so full everything you could want in only two pages! This issue takes it up a notch though with the first story featuring art from Andrea Bulgarelli. Wow is all I can really say looking at this style, it is very Tomb of Dracula/early horror. Every story after has an amazing look, and being just black and white, they all have great detail and depth. This is one hell of a visual treat, but be warned it is addicting.

Story: 4.0 out of 5
Now before we jump off the deep end you have to understand how these imported stories really work. They range from 2-4 pages for the most part, don’t have a lot of depth to them, but are full of horror goodness. They are kind of like quick little horror comic strips. The story seems to go one way and then BAM, your like oh gosh. For the most part they are all funny and they do finish what they set out to do. They are just different from what we are used to. I have to admit that I enjoy the Carmilla stories the most, I mean give the bitch a break already!

Dying Breath: 4.0 out of 5
Now I don’t live where these stories were originally published, so I am just learning about these great characters; Djustine, Calavera and Carmilla (our cover ladies). I mentioned that I have a favorite, but they all have their own unique style and presence. This issue showcases them all, along with a few other shorts perfectly. Matter of fact Virus Comix, can we see a collection of these Italian stories collected in trade form some day? So until that happens read this book, I highly suggest it, it’s fun and as I am always saying we need to start checking out what other countries have to offer, there is a world of great horror out there to be had.
