SYNOPSIS:

A group of friends are expecting a relaxing birthday weekend at a rented house in the desert, but the house and their trip turn out to be anything but relaxing.

REVIEW:

More short films, kiddies! Today we have THE BIRTHDAY BOY, directed by Corey Slater and written by Corey Slater & Shane Hartline.

What better way to spend a birthday than a weekend with friends at an awesome Air BnB with a pool, and hot tubs, and an ocean view?

Well… our heroes here didn’t read the description of the property very well, because they instead end up at a falling-down ranch house in the middle of the desert. No pool, BTW. But there is some liquor left by the host, and a cake, so our group decide to make the best of it.

If you’re starting to think this is the perfect set-up for some violence and bloodshed, you would be correct. However, I’m not gonna tell you what form that takes. You’ll just have to see for yourself. Its run time is only 10 minutes so everything happens pretty quickly.

I will admit to being a little confused by the ending, but overall had a great time watching this film. I think you will, too.
