Mego Corp. Releases The Invisible Man, Nosferatu & More Action Figures in its Horror Category

Mego Corporation Expands Horror Collection
with New Iconic Film and TV Characters

Father of the modern action figure introduces Bela Lugosi Dracula, The Invisible Man, Freddy Krueger and more in the latest additions to the Marty Abrams Presents Mego line

Led by the father of the modern action figure, Marty Abrams, Mego Corporation is continuing its celebrated revival to the sound of screams heard around the world – courtesy of six new and re-released action figures for its Horror category.

Originally founded in 1954, Mego Corp. achieved legendary success with Frankenstein, the Wolfman, Dracula, and the Mummy as part of its original line of horror characters. Several of those characters are returning to store shelves along with a couple of freaky new editions.

Mego Corps. expanded Horror category includes:

  • Nosferatu
  • Bela Lugosi Dracula
  • Nightmare on Elm Street – Freddy Krueger
  • The Invisible Man
  • Frankenstein
  • The Wolfman

“We’ve heard the requests from fans and collectors who, for years, wanted Mego Corp. to return with more iconic horror characters,” says Marty Abrams, co-founder and chairman of Mego Corp. “The strength of our brand has enabled us to acquire licenses for many of the identifiable characters that we brought into the third dimension many years ago. And now, we are able to expand our line of action figures with additional notable monsters – perfect for striking fear in a new generation while feeding their parents’ insatiable appetite for nostalgia.”

Mego Corp. is showcasing the terrifying characters as eight-inch action figures in the company’s signature 14-point articulation. The re-created monsters are styled with the attire that elevated each character’s stature and solidified their iconic status in television and film.

Thirty-seven years after closing its business, Mego Corp. returned to the toy industry in 2018 with the first wave of action figures it has produced since 1983. Now, with full international distribution rights for its action figures and a product library that includes icons from television, film, sports and music industries, Mego Corp. continues to regularly release new waves of characters at brick-and-mortar and online retailers worldwide.
