Insane VFX hallucinatory video for ODDKO’s “Disobey”

“Disobey”, directed by Giovanni Bucci and produced by Void n’ Disorder, features some of the most ambitious visual effects ever used in a music video. It’s a multidisciplinary art project that integrates dozens of detailed, disparate production elements into one cohesive vision, sound, and beat. “Disobey” explores themes of Man vs. Machine, of Nature vs. Technology, and paints the Goddess Hekate as a 21st Century nightmare, ensnaring victims and bending them to her will.

Void n’ Disorder, the LA based award-winning creative production and post-production company founded by visual director / musician Giovanni Bucci and Paola Rocchetti, announces the release of “Disobey”, its groundbreaking music video for ODDKO, a music project founded by Gio as the first single off the forthcoming album “Escape The Maze.” ODDKO will be releasing a new track every month for the next year

“Disobey”, directed by Gio, features some of the most ambitious visual effects ever used in a music video.

Appropriately, the video beckons to the beast within, the hungry animal straining against the leash – a call to the wild: Disobey.

Gio explains his vision behind the video further: “There is a mythic story in the fabric of ‘Disobey,’ a primal call to action, and a warning against deliberate manipulation of oblivious consumers. We struggle as a society – we love technology but are surrounded by ways that it enslaves us, drowning out the natural world. While we in no way shun technology, ‘Disobey’ explores the ways that this dichotomy both uplifts and breaks down our nature as humans, asking the questions, where do we go from here? How much technology is too much?”

Based on a carefully planned animatic and mastering precise and dynamic 3D camera movements, Gio went to great lengths to ensure that every moment of the video was seamlessly integrated with its sound. Focusing on each character and location, Paola’s discerning taste and natural flair for makeup and styling was a key element curating the aesthetic of the video. With contributions from Dead Lotus Couture (London), Mother of London (LA), Majesty Black (LA), Pieroni Lab (Rome), Oscar-winning makeup artist Manlio Rocchetti (1943-2017), and Oscar-winning 3D artist Stefano Dubay, Gio and Paola successfully brought their vision to life.

Inspired by the graphics and aesthetic of their projects Void n’ Disorder branched out and is now offering Void n’ Disorder Apparel – https://voidndisorder.com/shop, Italian design, made in LA with quality materials and a small sustainable production model.
