There is some renewed interest in a Pet Semetary remake. I personally loved the original and still cringe when I watch it. That scene where Gage stabs the old man in the ankle and cuts it out is still difficult to watch. It’s so well done and realistic that you feel pain in just watching it happen.
Well The LA Times reported today that Matthew Greenberg who adapted Stephen Kings 1408 for the big screen is currently finishing up a draft while Paramount is seeking a “high-level director.” It looks like Paramount will be moving on this and we will see who they pick as a director.
