Hi Jake, its awesome to speak with you. How are you?
J.W.-Very good, thank you.
I watched The Beach House. It’s such a good film. How did you get involved with the film?
J.W.- I came into the film because the producer Andrew Corkin is a friend of mine and he asked me to do the film.
What was it like for you working with this cast? It seemed you knew one another forever. You all did a great job.
J.W.- One of the skills you develop as an actor is to be able to fake familiarity.
What would you want to say to everyone that will be watching The Beach House?
J.W.-I think the movie if effective and I think the director sets up a very eerie, claustrophobic interpersonal relationship. I think it’s very stylish. There is tension underneath it all. The movie kicks into high gear.
It feels psychological and you don’t know what the monster is or what is happening at first. That made it nerve-wracking in a good way.
J.W.- I think the monster is life and these are people who are different places in life. It’s quite poignant. Liana carries that moment in such a heartbreaking way.
What is next for you?
J.W.- I am writing and directing a movie right now.
I thank you so much for taking the time to talk with me for Horrornews.net. You have been in some amazing films and shows and portrayed so many excellent characters. I loved The Beach House. Thank you so much Jake.
J.W.- I am so glad you loved it. Thank you so much.
