Interview: Eleanor “Snitchery” Barnes (Internet Urban Legends Podcast)

Hi Eleanor, thank you so much for taking the time to do this interview for Horrornews.net. Internet Urban Legends is such a fun podcast. I told Loey that I have had a lot of paranormal experiences. I’m skeptical though. I’ve had experiences and I always want to know who, what, when, where, why, and how? How did you get involved with the podcast?

We love a healthy dose of skepticism haha. I’m not even sure I believe in ghosts! Even after two paranormal experiences with Loey – one in Anguilla, and one in Virginia – I’ve mentally explained them both away in the years since. That said, I’m still fascinated by ghosts! And I’m desperate to have an experience one day that I really CAN’T explain. I have a hard time looking past the logic in things, and on the podcast, I’m billed as the skeptic.

How did you meet Loey, and what is it like working with Loey?

We met a couple years ago through our management at the time! And we’ve been attached at the hip ever since. She’s my best friend in real life and we talk about this kind of stuff all the time, so Internet Urban Legends has just felt like a super productive extension of our relationship.

Did you ever have any paranormal experiences that you can share?

Loey tells them much better than I do, but one time, after visiting Anguilla together, we experienced a terrifying night and left the trip literally cursed. I’m talking hotel doors deadbolting themselves from the inside, perpetual car troubles, technology inexplicably failing for months. We have the entire story on our YouTube channels!

What do you want to say to the fans that are listening to the podcast?

We’re freaking ECSTATIC about the response and so thankful for y’all! Loey and I know this is a weird, niche, out of the box idea so all the support is really appreciated.

How have you been dealing with quarantine? I know a lot of people do watch movies, YouTube, and of course podcast have been so great. I like to listen to the podcasts on my “quarantine walks”. It is great to have the creativity. So, thank you.

Thank YOU! I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the episodes! My brother and I got super into plants over the course of the past year, and started a plant Instagram called @aplantproject where we talk about our 150+ plant babies and what it’s like to live together! It’s been so unexpectedly fun and the community is freaking awesome.

What other projects are you working on?

Over the next few months, I’m coming up on my very first brand launch! I think it’s something people might not expect, but I’m confident will love right away. I’ve never been so excited about a project!

Thank you so much Eleanor.
