REVIEW:
More short films,. kiddies! Today we have GOODNIGHT, GRACIE, written and directed by Stellan Kendrick.
Poor little Gracie (Caige Coulter) is about to have a rude awakening. Lying in her bed, all cozy and warm, and suddenly she hears screams. She investigates to find her mother being hacked to bits, and the killer has turned his eyes on her.
Back to the bedroom, and under the blankets!
The killer’s footsteps clomp up the stairs beind her, but perhaps some courage from the Bible will help. or not….
This is a short, sweet, to-the-point thriller. A few items to note – our star Caige Coulter has quite an impressive list of credits behind her for such a young age, starting from when she was only 5 years old. She shows a lot of promise as an actor.
And our nameless killer? None other than our pal Malachi from CHILDREN OF THE CORN, Courtney Gains. I didn’t recognize him right away, but once I realized it was him, there was no mistaking that evil glare.
Using my special short scale of one to five, five being awesome, I’m giving this film 4 Bible verses.
