Killer Rack, the horror comedy directed by Gregory Lamberon (Slime City, Dry Bones) will screen at five film festivals this spring, ahead of its late summer DVD release by Camp Motion Pictures. The Buffalo, New York production stars newcomer Jessica Zwolak, supported by genre vets Debbie Rochon, Lloyd Kaufman, Michael Thurber, Roy Frumkes, and Brooke Lewis as the voice of the boobs. The film has been an Official Selection at 17 films festivals around the world, and has had several indie screenings as well.
“From the beginning we wanted to screen before as many audiences as possible because laughter is infectious,” says Lamberson, whose twelfth horror novel, Black Creek, was just published by Medallion. “Film festivals have become the equivalent of midnight releases for potential cult films, and we’ve had a successful run. Our goal has been to generate positive word of mouth as we march toward our DVD and digital download release, and it’s been fun traveling around the country.”
Killer Rack screens at two festivals this Saturday, April 9th, at 6:45 pm at Fantastic Cinema & Craft Beer Festival in Little Rock, Arkansas, and at 10:45 pm at Toronto International Spring of Horror and Fantasy Film Festival in Ontario, Canada. The Rack next attacks Motor City Nightmares Horror Expo and Film Festival, which runs April 22nd – 24th in Novi, Michigan. The monster boobs head south for Crimson Screens Horror Film Festival in North Charleston, South Carolina May 13th – 15th. Lamberson will be a guest at Shock Stock in London, Ontario May 27th – 29th, and will screen the film there.
Lamberson, who co-directs Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival, is currently developing a new feature for production this summer.
