Stephen King Adaptation Going To Lifetime

Lifetime Network just landed themselves a pretty major property. The channel for women will be bringing an adaptation of Stephen King’s tale BIG DRIVER to the small screen. The story appeared in the short story collection FULL DARK, NO STARS and tells the following tale:

Tess Thorne, a famous mystery writer who gets sidetracked during a long drive home from a book signing. After deciding to take a shortcut, she becomes stranded on a lonely New England road when her tire blows out. Thorne encounters another driver (Will Harris) who turns out to be a serial killer and assaults her. After being left for dead, Thorne escapes and plots her revenge.

One of King’s more violent tales (in my opinion) it will make an interesting fit into the Lifetime line-up. The film will star Maria Bello and should hit cable networks later this fall.
