“Dingo thought all his problems were behind him. Sure, his brother asked an impossible favor. Yes, a gigantic, feral dog started following him. Of course, his angry ex-wife came (violently) back into his life. But that was all behind him, right? Nope. Dingo was wrong. And now he’s on the run for his life. Throw in some dark magic and a family secret that refuses to stay buried, and you won’t want to miss this issue!“
Artwork: 4 out of 5
This book has a great look to it. The character designs are nice but too my the highlight is Cerbeus the dog. That is one good looking pooch. I think what I like best is the use of color in this one. It’s not the typical flat color, but if you pay attention to it you can see it. Just an awesome job by the art team.
Story: 4 out of 5
This issue just adds to the mystery that is “The Box”. I want to know whats in it already. The story progresses very well here. I think that the interactions between the cast is great, but it just leads to more mystery. I can not wait to see how it all unfolds in the end.
Dying Breath: 4 out of 5
So yes I did read issue #1, just didn’t get a chance to review it (4 out of 5, there ya happy). This issue follows that one up in a great way, but the mystery just keeps growing. I love the possibilities here but I kind of want some answers in issue #3. This series contains some subtle humor, good action scenes and a great mystery this one is for you.
If you would like to buy Dingo #2 you can pick it up on Wednesday, January 6 at your local comic shop. For more on Boom Studios please check out http://www.boom-studios.com/
