Piranha Sequel

Dimension Films is rushing a Piranha Sequel titled Piranha 3 DD. Instead of Alexander Aja however this film will be directed by Feast director John Gulager and written by Saw 3D scribes Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan. I can’t say what this means for the Piranha film as John Gulager’s Feast film is more comedy then horror. Granted Piranha wasn’t completely serious with it’s d*ck burping fish but it was a gory frightening film still. When I saw it at the drive in movie theater this month there were a lot of people around me looking away and making a lot of noise. It was awesome but if it falls more into the comedy side then will that take away from the horror of the fish? Who knows but it’s not like the first one was a monster success anyways. Like I said earlier this is being rushed into production as Dimension is aiming for a August 2011 release.
