REVIEW:

Lunch Ladies is a 2017 short horror comedy. Written by Clarissa Jacobson and Directed by J.M. Logan. Our journey concentrates on two lunch ladies Seretta (Donna Pieroni) and Lou Anne (Mary Manofsky). This duo of Jonny Depp obsessed lunch ladies just won a charity competiton for their Cheesy Burger Bites. The competition was held by no other than Jonny Depp himself. The overly excited Lunch ladies have to resume the role of over worked under appreciated lunch ladies until the rewards ceremony. Nasty school lunches mean kids and underappreciated colleagues bring this two woman to the brink of madness.

Lunch Ladies is a fun watch mixing the horror and comedy in a way that it stays comical and never really hits serious tones. Its good to see that the film found its identity. The film shows the hair net wearing career of the ever under appreciated lunch ladies. The acting in the film is great. Once the Lunch ladies have all they can take from the smart mouth kids an accident occurs. With a scene of soomeone plunged to death and the two lunch ladies scared of getting caught with a dead body. It doesn’t take long to figure out the easiest way for them to get rid of a body witht he uhmm tools they have at their disposal. What’s for lunch?

This short film features a lot of fun elements and sadly shows how some of the people that have important underappreciated jobs are treated. Sometimes the little guy needs a win. With the competition won and the obsesion of Jonny Depp being a subplot the film also has a fun scene that runs along witht he credits. Check this Horror comedy Lunch Ladies out well worth your time and maybe you will think a little more about what your eating before you take the first bite.
