Murder Is The Game in JUST PLAY DEAD starring Samuel L. Jackson and Eva Green

Signature Entertainment and Highland Film Group are proud to announce the upcoming release of Just Play Dead, a twisty, vibrant tropical cat-and-mouse thriller directed by legendary filmmaker Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, The Mask of Zorro). The film will debut in select theaters on August 28, followed by its digital on-demand release on September 1.

Written by acclaimed screenwriter Dan Gordon (The Hurricane, Murder in the First), Just Play Dead stars Academy Award® nominee Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) and Golden Globe® nominee Eva Green (Casino Royale), alongside Eoin Macken (La Brea), María Pedraza (Money Heist), and Jason Fernández (Welcome to Eden).

The film follows wealthy criminal mastermind Jack Wolfe (Jackson), who finds himself cornered by the Feds. Knowing you can’t arrest a dead man, Jack orchestrates a flawless escape plan: fake his own death, claim a massive $30 million insurance payout with his grieving wife Nora (Green), and frame her surfer lover, Chad (Macken).

However, suffocated by Jack’s ruthless control, Nora has a scheme of her own—kill Jack for real, frame Chad, and keep the fortune all to herself. But Jack is always a step ahead. He sets a deadly trap, turning the unsuspecting lovers against each other in a tropical paradise where nobody is who they seem, and everyone is playing for keeps.
