Human Hibachi: The Beginning filming wraps on Mario Cerrito’s cannibal prequel

It’s been said that some species of bamboo can grow up to 2.91 feet per day or 1.5 inches per hour and practically nothing can stand in it’s way. This aggressively growing wonder of nature is sometimes confused with plants and trees, but it’s actually part of the evergreen grass family. Bamboo is the largest grass on the planet and can grow right through concrete. Imagine the damage it could do to the human body.

After the international success of Mario Cerrito’s cannibal films, Human Hibachi and Human Hibachi 2: Feast In The Forest comes a prequel that shows the origin story, Human Hibachi: The Beginning.

A brutal look at how Jin and the Human Hibachi films got their start in Japan, before he made his way to the United States.

The film stars Wataru Nishida as Jin, Nicholas Ear as Kenji, Illana Lo as Aya, and Zachary Chung Pun as Aikio. Directed by Mario Cerrito. FX by Charmaine Cerrito. Photography by Carl Roccia. Producers are Mario Cerrito, Michael Joy, John Hoehn, and Anthony F. Cicali III.

Human Hibachi: The Beginning coming later this summer.
