‘SERU’ Brings Shaky Cam Horror to Malaysia

Video can be captured with digital camcorders, webcams, and even cell phones, so it’s no small wonder that “shaky cam” films are making their way around the globe. When it comes to horror films, people want it gritty, they want it real, and they want it presented to them in a manner that they can relate to because the more believable a scenario is, the more frightening it becomes. That does not mean that fantastical elements cannot be incorporated into films, in fact at times the exact opposite can be true. In SERU a young woman gets lost in the forest, something that could happen to anyone, but what she encounters tosses reality to the ground in a savage burst of vengeance.
