At this years New York Film Festival, Clint Eastwood’s HEREAFTER project, due to be released on October 22nd, gets the honorary privilege to close out the event.
Committee chair and program director for the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Richard Pena, said: “As so beautifully evident in ‘Hereafter,’ Clint Eastwood continues to make the most daring, provocative films in America. With his returned appearance here in the New York Film Festival, the director has showcased an opening night film, a centerpiece film and now this year’s closing night with ‘Hereafter,’ a ‘hat trick’ of which we are especially proud.”
HEARAFTER is a supernatural thriller starring Matt Damon and Bryce Dallas Howard that centers on three people — a blue-collar American, a French journalist and a London school boy — who are touched by death in different ways. This will be Eastwoods 4th project being displayed at the NYFF, trailing along was Changeling, Mystic River, and Bird.
