If you have ever watched a movie and thought to yourself “Wow, I think that could happen,” then you certainly are not alone. Author Rod Glenn effectively portrayed that thought in his book SINema but took an approach most of us would not: mass murder. Film Review: Santa’s Slay (2005)

SYNOPSIS: It turns out that instead of being the kind and jolly fat guy that brings us gifts each year on Christmas that we all love Santa Claus is actually pretty much the Antichrist. Film Review: Contracted: Phase II (2015)

SYNOPSIS: Riley searches for a cure to the virus that took over Samantha before it consumes him and the entire world REVIEW: Sexual intercourse has always been a major factor in horror storytelling.  Sometimes, as is the case in many vampire themed tales, the horror is romanticized.  More often, however, sex is used as a way to make something more …

REVIEW: “Zombie High” belongs to that particular little subset of school-based horror/thrillers wherein the teachers are villains and students are guinea pigs. Watching it I recalled such films as “Strange Behaviour” (aka “Dead Kids”), “Disturbing Behaviour” and, to an extent, …

Book Review: Roman Hell – Author Mark Mellon

The story is nothing that experienced readers of horror will not recognize and it is nothing that those who enjoy the reading of mythology will be shocked by – it’s pretty straightforward in this regard. However, what is fascinating is the almost anthropological approach with which Mellon has chosen to tell his story. The book is meticulously researched and beautifully rendered with arresting images and insights into the ever day and commonplace as well as the pageantry and circus-like atmosphere that could have drenched that ancient city.
