Principal photography just wrapped up on the feature The CHAIR, based on a 2006 graphic novel of the same name. Stills can be seen here.
Thhis psychological horror film film stars Bill Oberst Jr., Roddy Piper, Noah Hathaway, Zach Galligan, Naomi Grossman and a slew of other actors from film and television.
An innocent man on death row witnesses the murders of his fellow inmates at the hands of the psychotic Warden. To survive, he must match the brutality in the prison, but in doing so he’s forced to come face to face with his own sanity and his own horrific past.
Thank you, HorrorNews.net! THE CHAIR was a fun shoot and I think it will be a creepy mix of drama and thriller. Working with director Chad Ferrin was pretty darned incredible; his sense of the disturbing is off the charts. I appreciate the post, and all that you guys do to keep indie horror thriving.
gratefully,
Bill

I’m personally offended that you chose to exclude my contribution as an actor to this film. Not to take anything away from the actors you did mention, all of whom I count as personal friends and professional associates, I’ve appeared in over 50 films (large and small), dozens of television shows, have a healthy horror following. I believe that these qualifications make my name eligible for inclusion in any article (brief as yours is) regardiang a film I’m attached to. I wish you the best of luck with your site, and thank you for mentioning THE CHAIR, but, I’d advise you do a bit more research on all of the players. Goodbye. Ezra Buzzington
I wouldn’t take offense. We go thru 50 films a month, so really its a case of getting them reviewed asap to get to the next. Reviewers come in all forms and backgrounds after being vetted for intelligent writing skills and contribution.
(Sounds like this actor has alot to learn about how to reply to the medias that support the films he is in…I’m sure the industry will take note of your pretentious comment)
It’s funny……we bother to post a PR (which by the way we get 100’s a week) and “1” of the actors has a fit that he “wasnt” mentioned in the PR.
Not enough time in the day to deal with that……….. in any case
I would watch the film for actor Bill Oberst Jr. alone…… Bill is the kind of talent, we love to hear from…enuff said. Thx Bill!
