If you haven’t yet searched out Robert Rodriguez’s EL REY channel, now might be the time to do it. The channel announced today that on May 10th it’s going to kick off the channels latest series ‘THE DIRECTORS CHAIR’ and the first to take a seat will be none other than one John Carpenter.
In the hour long broadcast Rodriguez and Carpenter will chat up all things film and horror. On that same day El Rey will broadcast an entire afternoons worth of Carpenter coolness.
Here’s what Robert has to say about things:
“I feel incredibly fortunate to have worked closely with some of the most creative minds in filmmaking. ‘The Director’s Chair’ will be an intimate forum for the wildly unexpected conversation that ensues when passionate people discuss their fascination with this art form and can share what they have learned about the industry they love. This is an opportunity to do a deep dive into what makes some of these great minds tick and can’t wait to have the opportunity to leading the dialogue for some our very first episodes.”
