I’d like to bring your attention to Wild Stag Productions’ first feature film, Follow the Dead, an Irish dark comedy zombie film, which has just found distribution with Indie Rights, and is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The film screened at festivals all over the world last year, and amassed 19 wins and 12 nominations, including the Best Feature award at Kerry International Film Festival and Disappear Here Film Festival, two wins at Fright Night Film Festival in Kentucky for Best Foreign Feature and Best Foreign Director, and three nominations at Sunscreen Film Festival in Florida.
Synopsis:
“In a generation plagued by fake news, an idle family in rural Ireland argue over the legitimacy of the emerging viral footage of zombie ravaged Dublin. Discovering his estranged wife has returned to his small town’s police department, forlorn Robbie commits to help figure things out. But when danger lands on his own doorstep, he must learn if his family’s dependent lifestyle has left them too naïve to weather their fate.”
The film was written not simply out of an overt love for the zombie genre, but to tell a story about how Millennials would deal with trauma of such a magnitude in the modern day. The result is hopefully a clever mix of drama, comedy, and action that will resonate with any audience, and we’d love for you to check it out.
