Iconic Superhero Battles Onto Blu-ray Disc And DVD September 7 From RHI Entertainment And Vivendi Entertainment

UNIVERSAL CITY, CA – The Ghost Who Walks returns! Before Superman,
Spider-Man, and Batman, there was The Phantom, the greatest legend in the annals of 20th century comic-book crime fighting. The celebrated crime fighter is reimagined in The Phantom, arriving on Blu-ray Disc and DVD September 7 from
Vivendi Entertainment and RHI Entertainment. Ryan Carnes (“Desperate Housewives”) stars as Kit Walker, a young law student who learns that he is the son of “The Phantom”, the infamous persona that has been passed down through the generations of his family for centuries. Walker travels to the jungles of Bangalla to be trained as an expert in martial arts and combat, emerging as the 21st Phantom to fight evil and injustice. Wearing an updated Phantom uniform that gives him added strength and speed, his first mission is to solve the mystery surrounding his father’s death and to defeat a villainous force far more advanced than those of past.

Based on Lee’s Falk’s comic strip from the 1930’s, The Phantom mini-series event premiered on the SyFy Channel and also stars Isabella Rossellini (Two Lovers, Infamous) as the villainous Dr. Bella Lithia and Cameron Goodman (An American Carol, Rise). The Phantom Blu-ray Disc and DVD will contain interviews with Director Paolo Barzman and Ryan Carnes and will be available for the suggested retail price of $24.99 and $19.93, respectively.

Young urban daredevil Kit Walker finds himself recruited by a secret organization, unveiling a heritage he never could have dreamed possible. Revered as the twenty-first “ghost who walks,” he must now uphold and honor his ancestors’ creed — to fight crime and injustice throughout the world. But it’s a new world out there, and going up against high-tech savvy criminals will take training and discipline unlike anything bestowed on the Phantom.
