Mile High Horror Film Festival Now Open for Submissions

The Mile High Horror Film Festival is now accepting film submissions for its fourth annual festival, which will be held October 3-6, 2013 at the Alamo Drafthouse Denver.

Submission categories include:

*Feature Length Films

*Short Length Films


*Feature Length Screenplays

*Short Length Screenplays

*Music Videos/Movie Trailers

*Local Colorado Short Films

*Local Colorado Feature Films

The MHHFF’s 2013 guest judges will be announced shortly. The writer and creator of the Final Destination series, Jeffrey Reddick and the writer and director of The Blair Witch Project, Dan Myrick are both alumni judges for the festival from previous years.

Prizes are being offered to winning films including custom built trophies along with awards from the festival’s sponsors.

“As a festival, we pride ourselves on giving a voice to quality, independent genre films, while catering to the filmmakers who create them,” says festival director Timothy Schultz. “We’re excited to once again showcase the very best independent horror films from around the world; we invite all genre filmmakers to submit.”

The Mile High Horror Film Festival’s mission is to showcase the best independent genre films from around the world. The festival hosts screenings and events throughout the year with its annual weekend-long festival taking place each fall in the Denver metro area of Colorado. It features a wide array of celebrities, artists, and filmmakers from the horror genre. Its 2012 guests included Kane Hodder, Bill Moseley, and Corey Feldman to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Lost Boys among others.
