Southern Nightmare is a new grindhouse 70’s inspired horror coming from Black Mandala

Blending backwoods horror, women-in-prison brutality, and blaxploitation attitude, SOUTHERN NIGHTMARE delivers a raw, sleazy, and relentless genre experience that refuses to play by the rules.

The film stars Faith McCoy (Collection, House of Payne), Scot Scurlock (Homestead), and Gloria Lynne Henry (Phantasm III, The Devil’s Advocate).

Sherri and Anna Beth, two best friends on a road trip to Texas, make a brief stop in rural Georgia — a decision that quickly becomes a descent into hell. Captured by a trio of deranged rednecks, the girls are imprisoned, chained, drugged, and forced into a nightmare of exploitation, survival, and violence. Their Southern nightmare has only just begun.
