Oscilloscope Laboratories is proud to release Joel Potrykus’ shocking and acclaimed black comedy VULCANIZADORA in cinemas on May 2nd, with the filmmaker in-person for the picture’s opening weekend at New York City’s IFC Center.
VULCANIZADORA follows two friends (Potrykus and longtime collaborator Joshua Burge) as they trudge through a Michigan forest with the intention of following through on a disturbing pact. Once their plan goes shockingly awry, the haunting consequences of their failure can’t stay hidden for long.

Shot in 16mm, the feature further solidifies Potrykus as a singular filmmaker with a distinct vision, as he writes, directs, edits, and co-leads the feature, which is produced by Ashley Potrykus, Hannah Dweck and Theodore Schaefer of Dweck Productions, and Matt Grady of Factory 25.
