Hi Casey and Jo. It’s so great talking to both of you. I’m excited for Snoop and Martha’s Very Tasty Halloween special (It airs on the Peacock network on October 21st). I love Snoop! I think Snoop and Martha together are great.

Jo- They’re great and true friends which is really fun to see.

How do the two of you decide what happens for the Halloween episode?

Jo- We’re partnered with Buzzfeed’s Tasty on the project. It’s so exciting because Casey and I are great fans of that brand. We wanted to make sure the food is the central focus. We wanted to make sure that everything is unique and the first of its kind. We looked at every other baking competition and Halloween baking competition show that’s been done. We realized that there hasn’t been anything that was done like this and part of that is because it’s the construct of a TV show. You only have a certain amount of time to create things. We knew that we wanted to do something that was bigger and that hadn’t been done before. We wanted to create these edible immersive experiences that people can walk through and eat, kind of Willie Wonka style. What better framework to have that experience in, rather than a party? The framework of the show is Snoop and Martha are throwing this amazing party and inside that party there will be these edible experiences that the party goers can eat and taste. So, that was how we came up with the idea.

Congratulations on the 20th anniversary of Magical Elves. What advice or words of wisdom would the two of you offer?

Casey- I would say it’s been an honor and a privilege for me to work at Magical Elves when the company was founded twenty years ago. Be tenacious and find something that your passionate about.

Jo- It’s the people, Magical Elves is a collection of amazing people who are like-minded and passionate about the work they do. We want to make great programming and we all share that together. I feel fortunate to be a CO-CEO with Casey whom I love to work with and love as a person. It’s fun to get to experience that with somebody else and have somebody on the ride with you.

Casey- Awe, I love you too, Jo.

What are the two of you most excited about for this episode?

Jo- Being able to work with Snoop and Martha and it’s been one of the highlights of our career. It was everything you could possibly imagine; they are legends in their own right. It was so rewarding to see this whole spectacle come together. It was great to see their relationship and it was fun to see them inside the construct of a baking competition which we’ve never seen before.

Casey- When you have talent like Snoop and Martha, and you add in Alvin Zhou from Tasty, it was exciting to see.

Jo- Yes, the chemistry was off the charts.

What was it for the two of you working with Snoop and Martha? Did you take anything away from this amazing experience?

Jo- I would say they are stellar professionals. They were amazing and professional as was Alvin.

Do the two of you have any special Halloween traditions that you can share?

Casey- I would say I didn’t have any Halloween traditions, but now that I have a seven-year-old son, every year starting at the beginning of October, more and more Halloween decorations have been added to our yard. We have officially become one of those houses that looks like somebody threw up Halloween in their front yard.

Jo- I can concur, that’s definitely what’s happening at her house. I follow the candy.

That sounds good to me. Halloween is my favorite holiday. Thank you, Casey and Jo, so much for taking the time to talk with Horrornews.net. It’s been an honor to talk with both of you. I’m so excited for this special.

Casey- Thank you.

Jo- Thank you.

You can watch Snoop and Martha’s Very Tasty Halloween Special on Peacock on October 21, 2021.
