A top-notch cast headlines the shocking new mystery-thriller Strange but True, arriving in select theaters and On Demand September 6 from Lionsgate.

Directed by Rowan Athale and based on the best-selling novel by John Searles, this suspenseful film stars Oscar® nominees Amy Ryan (2007, Best Supporting Actress, Gone Baby Gone) and Greg Kinnear (1997, Best Supporting Actor, As Good as It Gets), along with rising stars Nick Robinson (Love, Simon) and Margaret Qualley (Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood), in the riveting tale of an estranged family reunited by an unlikely truth that unravels a web of deadly lies.

It’s been five years since high schooler Ronnie Chase died in a tragic accident. But the shock of his death is reignited when his ex-girlfriend, Melissa (Qualley), visits Ronnie’s mother (Ryan) and brother (Robinson) and tells them she believes she’s pregnant with Ronnie’s child. Ronnie’s family tries to dismiss Melissa’s incredible claim — and is plunged into a web of lies, fears, and unrelenting suspense.
