Roxsy Tyler’s House of Horrors is a docu-comedy spin-off to Roxsy Tyler’s Carnival of Horrors, a web show where it’s hosts– Roxsy Tyler and Count Chuckula show classic horror and sci-fi films while performing comedy segments during commercial breaks. In what appears to start out as a documentary, House of Horrors quickly becomes an episodic shockumentary about two narcissistic personalities who have no problem with the world watching their daily grind of murder and mayhem.
Creator, Carmela Hayslett reveals, “The entire story is shown through the perspective of a fan’s camera. The fan is only referred to as “stalker” and even though you never physically see him he’s actually the main character of the series! You will find the characters interact with him.” Hayslett also went on to reveal that the project took almost every cast and crew member out of their comfort zone. “I wanted to shoot a horror-themed show but do it in the same docu-comedy style as THE OFFICE and MODERN FAMILY. This brought about a lot of challenges to the cast and crew but we”re always up for a challenge. It’s still a learning curve but we’re having fun with it.”
Just like it’s sister show, Roxsy Tyler’s Carnival of Horrors, the show will be available for viewing for free on YouTube and Vimeo.
Roxsy Tyler’s House of Horrors stars Carmela Hayslett and Chuck Maher reprising their roles as Roxsy Tyler and Count Chuckula as well as Christian Grillo as Mr. Potent.
The show also features John Martineau as “The Manager”, David Gechman as “Wolfgang”, and Melissa O’Donnell as “Christina” a ghost who haunts Roxsy Tyler’s bathroom and gives her life advice.
