To celebrate National Blood Donor Month, the cast and crew of EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL at the V Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino hosted a blood drive to benefit United Blood Services. Over the course of four hours, 44 total units were collected with 39 successful donations, surpassing the expectations for the event. All donors received a free pair of tickets to EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL, a comic book from Cosmic Comics, as well as gift bags containing thank you gifts.
Nearly 50 units collected during drive at Cosmic Comics
“January is one of the most difficult months for the local blood supply because donations tend to go down significantly during the holidays,” said Sirc Michaels, producer and director of EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL. “The units collected have the potential to impact 117 hospital patients and their families. On behalf of the EVIL DEAD team, I want to thank everyone who came out to roll up their sleeves and be heroes.”
