Disney Reveals First Teaser Poster for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES

Disney gave fans a teasing look at their upcoming film PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES with the release of the first teaser poster for the movie. At first glance there does not appear to be anything new in the traditional skull and cross bones logo that fans have come to know oh-so-well, but on closer inspection the grinning skull, that bears an uncanny likeness to that of Captain Jack Sparrow, is cast in silver.

In PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES Captain Jack (Johnny Depp) is on the hunt for the Fountain of Youth, but how does silver tie into this theme? Well, some people believe that Colloid Silver slows the process of aging by destroying all bacteria and infections in the body. Perhaps the silver skull is a little hint at what exactly is flowing inside the Fountain of Youth?

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:

“Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) crosses paths with a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz), and he’s not sure if it’s love — or if she’s a ruthless con artist who’s using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.”

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES washes up on the shores on May 20, 2011.
