Steve Livengood

What’s your earliest memory of becoming a horror fan? When I was 8 years old a saw Halloween 1978 for the first time with my mom as it was playing on regular tv and of course it was edited lol but I was hooked on the idea of the Shape, the Boogey man

When did you decide you wanted a career in the film industry? Honestly as a kid always trying to mimic Jason, or Christopher Lee as Dracula, I was fascinated with creature acting, but as I got older movies like the exorcist, anything dealing with Demon possession, or fighting evil I was drawn to those characters because they instilled fear and kind of comical because you started wanting to root for them (laughs) and almost became anti-heroes to me

Tell us about your association with Red Moon Entertainment? Wayne Burdette jr. took me on as a client for the talent agency and had the forthright and belief in me that he thought I would be an asset to the horror division to help make it blossom. I’m very vocal and visible in the horror community by doing cons, supporting indiegogos with my podcast, and my acting so I feel I can assemble great casts, crowdfunding, and help make movie magic with Red Moon

Tell us a little bit about some of your favorite characters you’ve played?
Reaper will always be my favorite as I’ve played him on stage and screen for years, but I really enjoyed playing the Cory monster opposite Ginger Lynn in Grind as being in a creature suit I felt like I achieved that dream as a creature actor. Co-starring in The Red Huntress Series as Zander Smith is by far one of my most favorite speaking roles as I play a character that mimics a lot of who I am with being mysterious and comical. Death Bike as Sherrif Zimmerman was by far my favorite speaking roles to date.
What are your favorite scenes? Battling a mutant chicken in the film Killer Cocks by James Carnes

What are the most difficult hurdles you’ve had to get over in your career? Having to prove that I can deliver lines and characters instead of being type cast in non speaking roles as monsters

What do you think makes a film stand out? Cast with chemistry, a script that is great story telling and a director with ambition. lol but most importantly a cast and crew that is a family and working towards the same goal.

Tell us a little about your podcast, Reaper’s Underground?
I started Reaper’s Underground 4 years ago to help indie artists and dark artists to have a platform to show the world of their talent that otherwise wouldn’t know they existed and to help them grow their audience because I been there when I was a professional musician. From there I created a network to entertain people and give them an escape

Who inspires your creativity?
Honestly my fans. They make all of what I do so worth it and the love that I feel from them and the people I’ve met across the country has been priceless

What upcoming projects are you excited about?
I’m super excited to do an animated film called Metl Erth by Looney Dingo, Stoner Snake by Daryl Hook, the Red Huntress Series episode 3, A Hollow Throne by Red Moon, and Johnny Logan Harley’s The Ghost Writer
