Imagine if “Jumanji” made you kill people. That’s the impetus behind “GAME OF DEATH” as a group of millennials find themselves playing a board game where they have to kill (or be killed) to survive.
Moraid and Sébastien Landry combine their backgrounds in film, video, art direction and game design to create a wild, highly stylized cinematic ride that’s one part black comedy, one part teen drama and one part bloody horror flick.
The film had its world premiere at SXSW, was officialy selected at SITGES, Toronto After Dark, Fantasia and FrighFest, and won 5 awards.
“GAME OF DEATH” is a schlocky gore-horror comedy plump with exploding heads, torrents of blood and torn apart torsos. “Jumanji” meets “Natural Born Killers”.
