I knew Lionsgate would have to be getting this info to us soon and lookie here, it shows up this afternoon. THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT 2 is hitting shelves on April 16th and you know what, advance word is that it’s actually pretty damn good. I think the silly title scared a lot of folks but word on the street is that it’s a pretty solid sequel.
Here’s all the details via the press release:
The Haunting In Connecticut 2: Ghosts Of Georgia features Abigail Spencer (Cowboys and Aliens, TV’s “Mad Men”), Chad Michael Murray (House of Wax, TV’s “One Tree Hill”), Katee Sackhoff (TV’s “Battlestar Galactica”), Emily Alyn Lind (TV’s “Revenge”) and Cicely Tyson (The Help, Alex Cross).
“Building on the terror of The Haunting in Connecticut, this horrifying tale traces a young family’s nightmarish descent into a centuries-old Southern hell. When Andy Wyrick (Murray) moves his wife Lisa (Spencer) and daughter Heidi (Lind) to a historic home in Georgia, they quickly discover they are not the house’s only inhabitants. Joined by Lisa’s free-spirited sister, Joyce (Sackhoff) the family soon comes face-to-face with a bone-chilling mystery born of a deranged desire…a haunting secret rising from underground and threatening to bring down anyone in its path.”
Special features will include deleted scenes, a blooper reel, audio commentary and a featurette that looks into the real story of the Wyricks.
Again, April 16th is the roll out date.
