Scarecrow at Midnight to Screen at Fright Night Film Fest

Louisville, KY — Bruce Campbell, Cory Feldman and Tommy Lee Wallace will be on hand over the weekend of June 29th – July 1st as Mutantville Productions screens Scarecrow at Midnight on Friday night at 9:15pm in the French Room at the Fright Night Film Fest. This special screening of Scarecrow at Midnight is part of a double bill also featuring Patrick Rea’s Nailbiter! This will be the most electrifying double feature of independent horror films that you are going to see all weekend – guaranteed!
In attendance will be not only the Mutantville Players – Streebo and Geo – but our good friend and fellow filmmaker Patrick Rea will be there to promote his film Nailbiter.

All weekend long, visit the MVP booth in the halls of the Fright Night Film Fest and take part in the “MVP My @$$!” giveaway where the seventh person to say “MVP my @$$”
or have a MVP my @$$ photo op taken with Sawbones or with the MVP my @$$ sign will get a special Fright Night Film Fest prize package.

This exclusive Fright Night prize package will include the MVP Fright Night Film Fest 2011 DVD featuring interviews with Larry Drake star of Dr. Giggles and Darkman,
Charles Edward Pogue writer of The Fly and Psycho III, J.D. Feigelson writer of Dark Night of the Scarecrow, and our exclusive interview with John Carpenter himself. Also included in that prize package will be a copy of the ultra-rare Devil Comes Down special edition DVD as well as MVP mini-posters and collector’s cards. Executive producer J.T.McRoberts commented that “the Scarecrow at Midnight screening is a long time coming. We wanted to screen at last year’s fest but just missed the deadline. Now we get to screen this year and on a double bill with another great indie horror film with Patrick Rea’s Nailbiter. Now we are screening and we have the Tales from Mutantville DVDs ready which we didn’t have last year. Sometimes things have a way of working out for the best.”

Scarecrow at Midnight is a short slasher film featuring performances by Katie Bearden, Michael Sharpe, Joan Schuermeyer, and Matthew Ewald. Scarecrow at Midnight is featured as part of the Tales from Mutantville horror anthology hosted by Muticia the Movie Goddess. Tales from Mutantville DVDs will be available to the public at the Fright Night Film Fest for the first time this weekend.

The party starts Friday with the Scarecrow at Midnight and Nailbiter double feature at 9:15pm in the French room and continues all weekend with the “MVP my @ss!” contest. Join the fun and meet the Mutantville Players in living color while you can. You won’t regret it!
