On April 21 Tony Gibson launched a crowd-fund raising campaign in the hopes of rustling up enough money to give financial wings to his new project, a low-budget horror film titled LORD OF THE CROWS. Gibson needs approximately $24,000 to shoot a promotional trailer, and released a video on his youtube channel utilizing concept art to depict the gory scene. In it a man savages the face of a woman ensnared in what looks like a spider web. Nick Kacevski is set to direct the full trailer for LORD OF THE CROWS and it will star Cariba Heine and Rob Flanagan.
“Five heavy-metal musicians and their entourage move into a rural property for the weekend to work on their next album but conflicts among the members and the presence of an unwelcome intruder, not only put their album at risk but also their lives.”
Since the fundraising site went live they have raised roughly ten percent of their quota. Prospective investors can take note that Gibson has implemented a reward’s program and a $5 donation will land a thank-you email from Tony Gibson. A $15 donation will garner an Unofficial Movie Poster. For those who roll large and are willing to drop $5,000 you can get the works and earn the title ‘Angel from Heaven.’ Angels will score everything above and an invite to the film premiere, plus photo stills, and a ‘Special Thanks’ in the official film credits.
All funds will be used to create the promo excluding $500 that will be allotted to setting up a professional page for the forthcoming www.lordofthecrows.com. Many of the crew members working on the project have offered to work for free or at discounted or deferred fees, because they believe so strongly in the film project.
