Natalie Portman proudly proclaimed that her parents taught her “to work my hardest” and to “never be an asshole” as she accepted her award for Outstanding Performance for a Female Actor in a Leading Role, at the Screen Actors Guild Awards this past Sunday. The mommy to be is on a winning streak and has racked up numerous accolades for her role as the ballerina Nina Sayers in the psychological thriller BLACK SWAN, and her next stop is the Oscars.
Once again Mila Kunis did not share in her costar’s luck at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center, and did not pick up an award for her supporting role in the film. Other winners of the night include Christian Bale and Melissa Leo who both received awards for their supporting roles in THE FIGHTER.
The Screen Actors Guild Awards, often abbreviated to SAG Awards, is held each year with nominees randomly selected by randomly selected members of the union. The full membership of the union can then vote for the winner making the award present to actors by other actors making the SAG Awards quite prestigious in the acting world.
