Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood Star Kansas Bowling Joins Witchcraft: The Lanterne of Light

The actress and filmmaker known for her work in Quentin Tarantino’s Academy Award-winning film, along with her background in independent and cult horror, joins the expanding cast of the latest installment in one of horror’s longest-running franchises.

Deathstalker Productions is excited to announce that actress and filmmaker Kansas Bowling has officially joined the cast of Witchcraft: The Lanterne of Light, bringing another exciting addition to an already impressive ensemble of established Hollywood talent and horror favorites.

Bowling is perhaps best recognized by mainstream audiences for her appearance in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood (2019), where she portrayed Blue, a member of the Manson Family-inspired group featured in the film. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie, the film became one of Tarantino’s most celebrated productions.

But Bowling is no stranger to the horror world.

An accomplished actress, writer, and filmmaker, Bowling has carved out a distinctive place in independent and cult cinema. She made her feature directorial debut with the 16mm horror film B.C. Butcher, establishing herself as a filmmaker with a passion for unconventional genre storytelling.

Now, Bowling is bringing her talents to the world of Witchcraft.

A Franchise With a Legacy Takes a Found-Footage Turn

Witchcraft: The Lanterne of Light continues the legacy of the long-running Witchcraft horror franchise while taking its mythology in a darker, more disturbing direction.

This installment embraces a found-footage supernatural horror format, drawing audiences into a paranormal investigation through recovered recordings that gradually reveal a terrifying story.

Directed by Carissa Pierson and written by Andrew Pierson, the film is produced by Deathstalker Productions and centers around the mysterious cult known as The Children of the Hollow.

At the heart of the story is a mysterious 1409 manuscript known as The Lanterne of Light, an ancient text connected to the cult’s disturbing beliefs, rituals, and devotion to the darker forces of the supernatural.

As the investigation unfolds, the recovered footage begins revealing secrets far more dangerous than anyone could have imagined. What begins as an attempt to document the paranormal becomes a fight against something that may be beyond anyone’s control.

An Impressive Ensemble of Genre Talent

Bowling joins an expanding cast featuring an impressive collection of recognizable names from film and television, including:

  • Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight, Babylon, The Expendables)
  • Andrew Pierson (Witchcraft: The Initiation, A Soldier’s Descent)
  • Lisa Wilcox (A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 & 5)
  • Sandy Johnson (Halloween (1978), A Soldier’s Descent)

  • Marc Price (Family Ties, Trick or Treat)
  • Kato Kaelin (American Manhunt: O.J. Simpson, A Soldier’s Descent)
  • Chris McKinnell (Director of the Warren Foundation for Paranormal Research)
  • Kristina Lafser (The Last Sleepover, A Soldier’s Descent)

The production continues to bring together an impressive mix of Hollywood veterans, cult-film favorites, and established horror talent, creating an ensemble that spans generations of genre entertainment.

Bringing the Darkness to Life

With its found-footage approach, Witchcraft: The Lanterne of Light aims to deliver an immersive horror experience rooted in isolation, ancient secrets, and supernatural dread.

The production combines the legacy of a familiar horror franchise with a fresh visual approach and an expanding mythology designed to introduce a new generation of horror audiences to the world of Witchcraft.

Kansas Bowling’s addition is another significant casting announcement for a production that continues to build momentum.

For horror fans, the combination of established genre favorites, recognizable Hollywood talent, and a disturbing new supernatural mystery makes Witchcraft: The Lanterne of Light one to keep on the radar.

The darkness has a history. And this time, it’s being uncovered.
