Lionsgate has officially dropped the highly anticipated first trailer for Day Drinker, an upcoming horror-thriller slated to hit U.S. theaters on March 26, 2027.
Directed by Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man, 500 Days of Summer) and written by Zach Dean (The Tomorrow War), the film marks a dark, terrifying departure into genre filmmaking for Webb. The movie features a powerhouse ensemble cast led by Johnny Depp, Madelyn Cline, and Penélope Cruz.

The synopsis hints at a claustrophobic, unpredictable descent into dread:
In Day Drinker, a private-yacht bartender (Madelyn Cline) encounters a mysterious onboard guest (Johnny Depp). They soon find themselves entangled with a dangerous criminal figure (Penélope Cruz) and connected in ways no one saw coming.
While the film is not yet rated, the trailer promises an atmosphere dripping with psychological tension and brutal horror elements. The isolation of the open ocean sets the stage for a deceptive game of survival where no one is who they seem.

Behind the camera, the film boasts a massive pedigree of industry heavyweights. Day Drinker is produced by Basil Iwanyk p.g.a. and Erica Lee p.g.a. representing Thunder Road (John Wick franchise), alongside Adam Kolbrenner, Zach Dean, and Nathan Kahane.

Lionsgate presents the film in association with 30WEST and Media Capital Technologies. The project is a Thunder Road production in association with IN.2, and a Nostromo Picture / Baby Door production.
