Cassandra Peterson, famously known to horror fans worldwide as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, is officially joining the cast of R.L Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2.
The highly anticipated spooky sequel is set to premiere October 9, 2026, streaming exclusively on Tubi as a marquee title for the platform’s annual “Terror on Tubi“ Halloween programming event.
A New Curse Descends on Redhaven
Inspired by R.L. Stine’s beloved anthology series The Haunting Hour, R.L. STINE’S PUMPKINHEAD 2 brings viewers back into a world of family-friendly frights and supernatural mysteries. The sequel follows the heroic duo of Sam (Bean Reid) and Becka (Adeline Lo) as they find themselves locked in a high-stakes race against time. Together, they must stop a sinister new Pumpkinhead curse before it consumes the entire town of Redhaven.

The addition of Peterson bridges two distinct generations of horror nostalgia. For Peterson, stepping into this new universe felt like a natural extension of her legendary career.
