Roadside Attractions and Saban Films have officially announced they will release the terrifying horror-thriller CRAWLERS in theaters nationwide on October 16, 2026. Directed by Ángel Gómez Hernández and written by Jayson Rothwell, the highly anticipated film promises to deliver a claustrophobic nightmare that will exploit one of humanity’s most common phobias.
In CRAWLERS, a catastrophic infestation of venomous and deadly spiders sends an apartment building into an immediate lockdown. Trapped inside by a strict, police-mandated quarantine, building manager Serena, played by Matilda Lutz, and her eclectic residents must battle to survive as the eight-legged creatures multiply by the second. Armed with her intimate, firsthand knowledge of the complex, Serena may be the only person who can keep the tenants alive—if she can first summon the strength to confront her deepest fear.
The film is produced by a distinguished team of filmmakers including Scott Strauss, Peter Welter, Jayson Rothwell, Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Josh Weinstock, and Alexandra Milchan. Executive producing the feature are Andrew Schwartzberg, Jon Shiffman, and Diarmaid McGrath. Boasting an intense narrative, a breakout lead performance by Lutz, and skin-crawling practical and visual effects, CRAWLERS is set to be the must-see horror event of the autumn season when it crawls into theaters this October.
