Rumors have been circulating regarding the reboot of David Lynch’s cult television show Twin Peaks and while fans were hoping that the outcome would be favorable, at this point in time it is being reported that Mr. Lynch has walked away from the Showtime project. Apparently, after 16 months of discussions, there was not enough money offered to do the show in the way that the highly regarded director had wanted. Nine episodes have been written for the new series, but whether or not Mr. Lynch will have anything to do with the show in the future remains to be seen…
On another note, Eraserhead of all things is being prepped as a 6-episode series for the Sundance Channel, developed by Jonathan Glazer and Jennifer Lynch, with LaBeouf(!) in the role of the titular hero. Shooting is scheduled to commence in six months in West Virginia for a 2016 premiere.
